Other award programs have been developed by different dioceses around the US. These are all available to the youth of our archdiocese.

Archdiocese of Galveston-HoustonSt. Thomas More Patch ProgramThis is an award developed by a Girl Scout in our own archdiocese as part of earning The Spirit Alive award. It was designed to help girls learn more about the patron of her parish, St. Thomas More. This is available to girls in grades K-12, with different requirements for each program level. Archdiocese of San AntonioThis series of awards is a religious development program from the Archdiocesan Catholic Committee on Girl Scouting in San Antonio, TX. Because they are developed by Girl Scouts, the current program materials use GS language when referring to levels and other scouting-related topics, but they are open to AHG and others as well. Sts. Joachim and Anne AwardA program for 5-6 year olds on learning simple prayers used in our daily lives and to learn about Jesus’ grandparents, Sts. Joachim and Anne St. Agnes AwardA program for 7-9 year olds on simple devotional practices for learning about the Catholic Church. St. Agnes is the patron saint of Girl Scouting. Salve Regina AwardA program for 9-13 year olds based on knowledge of the role of Mary and the Church and the religious values mirrored in the Girl Scout Promise and Law. St. Anthony De Padua AwardThis program is open to everyone including adults, with different requirements for each level and age. This program is to assist in becoming aware of this very special saint who is the patron of our city and of our Archdiocesan Catholic Church community. Our Lady of Guadalupe AwardThis program is open to all levels everyone including adults, with different requirements for each level and age. This program is to celebrate the reality of La Virgen de Guadalupe’s promise and presence in our community and faith life. Divine Mercy AwardThis program is open to everyone including adults, with different requirements for each level. This program teaches about the devotion of the Divine Mercy and St. Faustina. | Diocese of Colorado SpringsPillars of Faith PinOffered through the Diocese of Colorado Springs (not NFCYM), the Pillars of Faith award provides special recognition to girls who have earned all four of the NFCYM Catholic religious medals: Family of God; I Live My Faith; Mary, The First Disciple; and The Spirit Alive. This award recognizes those who achieve the rare accomplishment of earning all four medals and to encourage more girls to persevere in their pursuit of religious recognitions. (Not sure whether this might change in 10 years when some of our youth have earned all 5 or 6 awards.) Diocese of ColumbusPope Saint John Paul II Patch ProgramThis program out of the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio, explores the life and views of Pope Saint John Paul II, especially on the topics of life and youth. This program is designed for both youth and adults, beginning in grade 1. The requirements for this activity vary by age, so it can be earned more than once. This is a beautiful 5-inch patch. Diocese of Green BayOur Lady of Good Help Activity PatchThe Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting of the Diocese of Green Bay now offers the Our Lady of Good Help activity patch. Learn all about how and why the Church honors Mary, the life of Adele Brise, as well as the history of the Marian apparition at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help. While this is a Scouting patch, any youth or adult interested in meeting the requirement to earn this patch is welcome to participate.
